You should be able to do 15-20 reps at your warm-up weight. The second set should consist of heavier weights with half the amount of repetitions. For your third set, add five more pounds of weight.

Avoid giving yourself a vacation from exercise on weekends. Weekends should include some relaxation, but also some exercise. Weight loss needs to be on your mind 7 days a week. If you go overboard with food, drinks or rest time on the weekend, you need to counteract that with some exercise for the sake of your health.

Many people are under the impression that they are able to do abdominal exercises daily. Doing so for this particular group of muscles is not recommended. As with other muscles, abdominals need a break between exercise. Place two or three days between each abdominal workout.

A great fitness tip for adding some size to your quadriceps is to start doing box squats. Box squats are a great way to change up a regular squat and work more muscles. You’ll need a box or a chair to position behind you. Each time you squat down, pause while sitting on the box.

Try counting in a reverse fashion. Instead of counting the reps as you do them, count them down. This can help all of your workouts feel like they take less time to complete as well. Telling yourself that you have only so much more is very motivating.


Try getting weight belts, or using other types of weights to exercise your body throughout the day. The long-term effects of always utilizing a weight belt can be problematic. You end up having a weaker lower back and ab muscles which then become vulnerable to getting injured if you’re constantly wearing a belt.



TIP! You should take time out of your day to exercise. Something as simple as taking the stairs at work, instead of the elevator can give you noticeable health benefits.
